Hey everyone...
I won't be blogging this week but just wanted to ask for your prayers. My Uncle Bill passed away last Friday (my dad's brother) in California, and I've decided to go join the family there for the week (funeral is Thursday). This is the first of my mom & dad's generation...it's tough. But he had been ill for a long time after a stroke, so it is for the best. And he was a Christian, most importantly.
So Lucas & I are heading out in a couple of hours for the airport! I'm nervous about flying with Lucas for that distance by myself (not a direct flight) but we're hoping for the best!! It's been several years since I've seen my California cousins (all of my dad's family lives there), so I'm looking forward to that part!
Mitch has a lot of work things this week so can't join us :(...but we'll be back Sunday night!

I hope God really blesses your time away, despite the loss. I'll be praying for peace and comfort, but also for a time of renewal for you and Lucas.

I am so sorry. I'll be thinking of and praying for your family this week. I'll also pray that you and Lucas are able to travel without difficulty. Isn't it funny how loss sometimes provides an opportunity to see people you haven't seen in a while? It was the same last month when my dad died. It's a little sad that we can't have it another way.
